World’s first solar car : Lightyear 0 first production ready can run for months without charging
Dutch startup Lightyear has unveiled what it is calling the world's first production-ready solar car. The Lightyear 0 is targeting a very specific buyer who values efficiency over performance and wouldn't mind paying an arm and a leg for it. Will it sell? we will see. Lightyear 0 is the product of a six-year plan. The company claims that the car will enable drivers to travel independently for months without having to be plugged into a home outlet or charging station. A maximum of 946 Lightyear 0s will be produced at a cost of €250,000( 2,04,73,531.40 Indian Rupee )and the first cars will be delivered in early November. Lightyear 0: Features patented solar arrays The Lightyear 0 features five square meters of patented, double curved solar arrays. According to the company, this technology allows the vehicle to charge itself while commuting or parked outside. Lightyear 0: Can power itself
