Mahindra & Mahindra has an SUV and engine assembly plant in Nashik. General Motors, Tata Motors, Mercedes Benz, Land Rover, Jaguar, Fiat and Force Motors have assembly plants in the region. The northern cluster is near the metropolitan area and accounts for 32%
