Launch in India on 21st August and will retail through the company’s Nexa chain of premium dealerships
Largest-selling carmaker of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd , will launch the upcoming Maruti XL6 on 21st August in India. The new model is based on the 2019 Ertiga MPV but will be sold through the Nexa chain of premium dealerships.
1. New Name
Although it has been widely assumed that the premium version of the company's best-selling minivan will be called Ertiga Cross, our special espionage images confirm that the new model will be called Maruti XL6, with MPV's six-seat layout has been named.
2. Option only lightweight 1.5 liter petrol hybrid engine
The Maruti Ertiga is available with three engine options: 1.5 liter petrol, 1.3 liter diesel and 1.5 liter diesel. However, the upcoming Maruti XL6 will only be available with the 1.5-liter petrol engine that will be aided by SHVH technology. The transmission options will probably include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic unit.
This also means that potential buyers of the Ertiga-based model will not have to worry about a price increase once the BS6 standards are applied next year. This is the same K15B engine that debuted on the Ciaz facelift and also powers the Ertiga.
3. Sporty Body Cladding
One of the attractions of the visual package is the Spotty body lining, which runs around the bottom of the vehicle.
4. Roof bars Roof bars are common accessories available on most SUVs.
5. Maruti XL6's black interior will be its main attraction, which will be very different from Ertiga.
6. Captain Seats
Another highlight of the new model’s cabin will be the captain seats for the second row.
7. New Headlights As we said, the Maruti XL6 gets a sharper pair of headlamps that play a key role in making the front-end look more aggressive than those of the Ertiga.
8. DRLs
While the second-generation Maruti Ertiga came with several features that were not available on the first-gen model, a glaring omission from the car’s features list was the LED DRLs.
9. New rear bumper It is not only in front of the XL6 that it looks different from the Ertiga front end.
10. Maruti Nexa concession contract
