Tesla has joined the world of pick-up trucks with the unveiling of its Cybertruck, which is projected to be the first time for the American brand to market the long-popular full-size truck.

Shown at an event in Los Angeles, California - aside from the motor show - the all-electric  Cybertruck is the same length (5.87 m) as traditional competitors, but mentioning where the similarities end. For starters, it features a radical wedge-shaped design unlike anything that Tesla CEO Elon Musk has kept away from increasing production.
The promised list of Cybertrak is equally surprising. Three powertrain options will be offered with one, two or three electric motors. The single-motor, rear-wheel-drive-only version is said to be 0-60mph in 6.5sec, with no quoted battery size, but an estimated range of 250 miles. It can also tow 3400 kg and has a 1360 kg payload. It is said to cost from $ 39,900 ( India  Rupees  RS.35,82,450.74) before any government incentives.
Ahead is the mid-range dual-motor variant, offering all-wheel drive, a 0-60mph time of 4.5sec and towing capacity over 4500kg. Its price is stated to be $ 49,900 ( India  Rupees  RS.35,82,450.74) before the incentive.
The Crown Glory is a top-tier car using Tesla's latest Tri-Motor Glory Plaid 'EV Powertrain. Priced from $ 69,900 ( India  Rupees  RS.35,82,450.74), its specs include a range of 500 miles on one charge, 0-60mph in just 2.9sec and the ability to complete quarter miles in just 10sec. The towing capacity is 6350 kg, Musk claims.
Cybertruck angular body is made of "ultra-hard 30X cold rolled stainless steel". Touted to be bulletproof up to 9mm rounds, Musk emphasized the body's ability to resist damage with multiple folds (including a sledgehammer) and tried to break it onto the stage. However, when the design of Tesla's head broke the windows of the two of them, throwing metal balls at them, provoked Musk to pinch: "room for improvement."
The load bay is 6.5 feet long, similar to the standard Ford F-150, and features a streamlined cover. Tesla boasts more than 2800 liters of lockable storage space, including covered load bay (dubbed 'vault'), franc and sail pillars.
Cybertruck can seat up to six adults and was manifested in this form; It is not yet clear whether a smaller version will be offered. The cabin is pure Tesla: total minimalism, dominated by a 17in tablet-style touchscreen. The steering wheel is a classic concept car joystick style, but it is expected that it will become a conventional wheel until it enters production.
The truck's suspension is an adaptive air system with adjustable ride height; Musk claims the maximum height will be 16in, with a capacity adjusted to and below 4in.

Further details remain to be revealed. Of course, Cybertruck can use Tesla's supercharger network, which has the ability to charge at speeds up to 250kW.

Production is still a reasonable method; Tesla has claimed that the base, rear-drive Cybertruck will arrive in late 2021, with faster, pricier versions coming in 2022. A European launch of any kind is still unconfirmed.

Despite the delay, Cybertruck is likely to be one of the first electric pick-ups on sale. Rivian claims that it will launch the R1T in autumn 2020, while both Ford and General Motors are promising an electric version of their trucks, but both have yet to show anything.
