Maruti Suzuki: At the request of the Government of India, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has examined its ability to assist in the manufacture of ventilators, masks, and other protective devices. An arrangement has been made with AgVaHealthcare, the current authorized manufacturer of ventilators. Maruti Suzuki Company will work with AgVa Healthcare to accelerate ventilator production. The target is to reach 10,000 units per month.
AgVa Healthcare is responsible for technology, performance and related matters for all ventilators they produce and sell. Maruti Suzuki Company will use its suppliers to produce the required quantity of components, using its experience and knowledge to improve systems for high volume production and quality control. Any other necessary assistance will be provided. Maruti Suzuki Company arranges to finance as needed and obtains all necessary permits and approvals to enable more production. Maruti Suzuki Company will provide these services free to AgVa Healthcare.
Krishna Maruti Limited, a joint venture between Maruti Suzuki Company and Ashok Kapoor, manufactures three-tier masks to be distributed to Haryana and the central government. Production will begin as soon as all approvals are received. Ashok Kapoor offers 2 million masks for free.
Maruti Suzuki Company's joint venture with the Ratan family, Bharat Seats Limited, will produce protective clothing after all approvals are available.
All manufacturing units will do their best to protect workers and safeguard health according to the government's recommended procedures.
