MG Motor India is facing the coronavirus epidemic. In a new initiative, the company has decided to sanitize their vehicles, praising the efforts of the police forces courageously facing this deadly disease. This facility will be given in the company's workshops after the lockdown period ends. This service will be provided by the company free of cost and whatever expenses are incurred on the dealers will also be compensated by the company.
The big hair is that these vehicles can belong to any company. During a special conversation with Carandbike, MG Motor India MD Rajiv Chhabra revealed this. He said, "Once we start working in our workshops, we police can bring our vehicles there. It will take about Rs 1,000 to sanitize a car and we expect that in the month of May we will Will spend about Rs 25 lakh on this whole initiative.
Apart from this, MG Motor has also started work on making ventilators. The company has also distributed health and hygiene kits, PPE kits, surgical masks, gloves, sanitizers, and ration kits to counter the coronavirus threat. MG India has already promised to spend Rs 2 crore for medical assistance. The company is also building a 100-member women's hostel near Halol's factory in Gujarat, which will provide accommodation, food, and transport facilities.
