With popular models like the Brezza and Grand Vitara already in its portfolio, the company is now set to introduce its first electric SUV, the eVX, along with several new models and facelifts. Here’s a sneak peek at the upcoming launches. 1. Maruti Suzuki eVX Electric SUV The eVX will be Maruti’s first fully electric SUV, launching in early 2025. With two battery options—48 kWh and 60 kWh—the eVX promises a range of up to 550 km on a single charge. BS6 rules are to come into force in India from April 2020, after which it will be mandatory for all companies to give BS6 Norm engines in their cars. Maruti Suzuki said sometime back that it would discontinue all its diesel cars by April 2020. However, the company had also indicated that it would start selling diesel cars again if there was good demand from customers. According to cardekho.com, premium cars of Maruti Suzuki will also get BS6 diesel engine after April 2020.Maruti Suzuki S-Cross The S-Cross is the company's first car, sold through a Nexa dealership. This car is available in two diesel engines. The first in this list is the 1.3 liter engine with Swift and the second is 1.6 liter engine. The 1.3-liter diesel engine will not be upgraded to BS6 standards, but the company can upgrade the 1.6-liter engine to BS6 standards. The S-Cross was recently spotted testing with a 1.6 liter BS6 dual engine. In this case, estimates are being made.Maruti Suzuki XL6  It is the premium crossover MPV of Maruti Suzuki. It is modeled on the Ertiga. It has been introduced with new design and premium features. Its middle row has been given a captain seat. Six passengers can sit comfortably in this car. Currently this car is available with BS6 standard 1.5 liter petrol engine. It is being speculated that the company may soon offer BS6 standard diesel engine in it as well.Maruti Suzuki Ciaz It is the most affordable sedan car in the segment. This is Maruti's first car to be introduced with the new 1.5 liter diesel engine produced by the company. This engine is built on BS4 Norms, its power is 95 PS and torque is 225 Nm. Along with the engine, it has a 6-speed manual gearbox. Apart from this, the option of 1.3 liter diesel and 1.5 liter petrol engine is also available in this car. It is being speculated that the company will also introduce this car with BS6 Norms diesel engine to compete with Honda City and Hyundai Verna.New Compact SUV Maruti already has an S-Cross in the compact SUV segment, but it did not manage to woo customers like the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Celtos. It is learned that Maruti will soon compensate for this with a new compact SUV. It will be bigger and more feature loaded than the S-Cross. There are discussions that the company may offer BS6 diesel engine in the new compact SUV as well.x
