The Hyundai New Generation i20 has been recently spotted while testing in India and, like last time, this time the new car was completely covered with camouflage stickers. While the entire cabin of the car is not visible in spy photos, it has been decided from the photos that a digital instrument cluster will be installed in the new generation Hyundai i20. Let me tell you that the car seen is a model made for the European market and till now it has not been clear whether the feature will be available from the Indian specification car. The new generation Hyundai i20 premium hatchback has been spotted in India at the time of testing. The company can launch this car at the 2020 Auto Expo and is the third generation incarnation of the i20.
In terms of size, Hyundai India has made the new generation i20 as much as the model currently being sold. Apart from this, new diamond-cut alloy wheels, shark-fin antenna and new ORVMs have been provided with the car. While we have not yet seen the front of the car, the company has designed the rear of the car in a random way that includes strong cladding. The cabin of the car has not seen a clean look, while we believe that the new generation car will be launched with the changed interior, different design dashboard and many new features.
No substantive information has been revealed about the engine of the new generation Hyundai i20, although it is estimated that the car will be provided with BS6 standard 1.2-liter petrol engine. Hyundai has said that unlike Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors, Hyundai will introduce its vehicles in BS6 diesel engines after the BS6 deadline, so the diesel model of this car can also be launched in the new generation. It could also be that the company will replace the 1.4-liter CRDI engine with the new generation 1.5-liter diesel engine with BS6 standards, which is fitted with Kia Celtos and will soon be made available in the Hyundai Venue.
