Kia Motors Entry with Celtos in India

Kia Motors made an official entry into India in August 2019 and the company has launched the Kia Celtos in a heavily contested compact SUV segment that is competing with cars like MG Hector, Hyundai Creta and Nissan Kicks. The company has started its production plant at Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh where the company's upcoming product Kia Carnival and new subcompact SUV will be produced along with Celtos. UV was formed. Even Kia has said that for the next three years the company will launch a new vehicle every 6 months in India.In November, Kia announced that the company had already delivered 26,800 units of Celtos to customers, selling 14,000 units in the same month, making Celtos the country's best-selling SUV. At the time, SIAM President Rajan Vadhera said that this slowdown dominates the auto sector, it is very worrying.

Mahindra and Ford's joint venture announced

This year, Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra and US carmaker Ford Motor Company have announced to create a new joint venture brand for the Indian market. Mahindra will have a 51% stake in this new venture, while Ford will have a 49% stake in it. The two companies will have 50-50 participation in this board with Mahindra-elected chairman. Under the new joint venture, work will be done to strengthen Ford's position in India and export the company's products worldwide.The brand will operate in India and the new joint venture will probably start functioning by mid-2020. Mahindra and Ford will jointly build vehicles in which new utility vehicles will be built under the Ford brand, starting with the new mid-size SUV and the platform will be shared by both companies.
