Decreasing the gear ratio increment and speeding up gear changes will further improve responsiveness and agility. At the same time, the 9G-TRONIC impresses with a smooth and barely perceivable gear shift like a continuously variable transmission. 9G-TRONIC can skip individual gears, allowing multiple downshifts for fast and powerful sprinting.

At the Touch of Dynamic Select feature in the center console, drivers can choose between comfortable, sporty, particularly sporty and efficient driving styles, or their own individually defined style. To achieve this, parameters such as engine, transmission, suspension and steering characteristics are adjusted according to the selected drive mode. The default setting is the well-balanced and fuel-efficient "Comfort" mode.
The "Sport" drive mode added agility and maneuverability to its more progressive steering characteristic curve, sporty, effortless throttle response and revised shift points (with 9G-TRONIC). The element of sportiness can be further enhanced by switching to "Sport +" mode.
