Mahindra Scorpio and Thar Waiting Period

Mahindra Scorpio and Thar Waiting Period: The country's leading car manufacturer Mahindra is getting great response from the customers. The company is currently at the fourth position in terms of selling the maximum number of vehicles. There are lines at the showroom to buy vehicles from its Scorpio to Thar and XUV700. But according to the demand, the company is not able to provide the supply, for which the customers have to bear the loss in a way. Mahindra has released the status of pending deliveries and bookings on its cars. According to the third quarter report, the sales of SUVs like Mahindra Scorpio-N, XUV700 and Thar are continuing at a brisk pace. However, the company is still unable to keep pace with demand and supply, due to which pending orders are increasing. Mahindra currently has a pending order of 2.66 lakh vehicles.

Mahindra Scorpio:  1.19 lakh orders are pending

According to the report, Scorpio has the highest demand among all the SUVs of the company. The company has two models - Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic. Mahindra is currently taking around 16,500 bookings every month for both the SUVs. Launched in June last year, the Scorpio-N is a new model, while the Scorpio Classic has been updated by updating the older Scorpio. There are a total of 1.19 lakh pending orders for both the SUVs together.

This is around 40 percent of Mahindra's total pending bookings and the highest waiting period is for the Scorpio-N. According to reports, the waiting period for some variants of the SUV is more than a year.

XUV700 and Thar: Over 77,000 orders are pending

Talking about the XUV700, about 10,000 units are being booked every month. Its waiting period has come down a bit but it still has 77,000 units pending. Similarly, the Thar SUV garners around 4,600 bookings in a month. Around 37,000 customers are still waiting for the delivery of their Thar.

Apart from this, more than 10,000 bookings are being done every month for Bolero and Bolero Neo. The XUV300 and XUV400 electric SUVs are registering around 9,300 bookings every month.
