Powertrain and transmission
MARUTI SUZUKI DZIRE New BS6 emission norms have left a deep impact on the auto industry in India. Many manufacturers have pulled the plug on their diesel offerings. Maruti Suzuki is one of them.- MARUTI SUZUKI DZIRE The only engine option available now is the new gasoline engine. This engine is a naturally aspirated 1.2-liter DualJet VVT. This is a significant improvement as the old Dzire gets a 1.2-liter petrol engine.
- MARUTI SUZUKI DZIRE new engine produces 90ps @ 6,000rpm and 113Nm @ 4,400rpm power and torque respectively. Power stats are significantly higher than the old engine (83ps @ 6,000).
- MARUTI SUZUKI DZIRE new BS6 engine comes with Suzuki's standard start-stop function that increases the mileage of the vehicle.
- Although the car has only one engine option, there are two transmission options. The car comes with either a 5-speed manual transmission or you can also opt for a 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).
Exterior Design
While the dimensions of the Sub-4M sedan have remained unchanged, Maruti Suzuki has updated the front-end of the car to make it look bold and effective. The small rectangular radiator grille of the pre-facelift model has been replaced for a much larger cascading unit with chrome outlining.
Interiors
Maruti Suzuki Dzire Inside the cabin, the car features a two-tone layout, however, the wood accents on the dashboard now get a natural glow effect. To give the car a more premium feel, champagne trim accents have also been added in some places.
Features
Maruti Suzuki Dzire 2020 has updated the car's infotainment system, and it now offers the latest version of the carmaker's SmartPlay Studio, which has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Also, it now also gets a colorful TFT multi-information display, and cruise control has also been added. On the security front, Maruti Suzuki Dzire 2020 Dzire comes with a hill-hold function with ESP (Electronic Stability Program).

The 2017 Dzire BS6 was equipped with a 1.2-liter K12B petrol engine and BS4 1.3-liter DDiS diesel. The latter claimed fuel economy of 27kmpl and 190Nm torque, making for a porous but economical Desire. Since the diesel was not updated to the BS6, both engines have been replaced with the K12C DualJet petrol engine.
