Maruti Suzuki reported a massive 47% drop in sales in March 2020

The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has given below sales figures for March. This is a decrease of about 47% compared to March last year. Almost half of the caravan virus lockups are the main reason for the sale, which is why the company stopped making cars from 22 March. All distributors have been closed for the past several days and no new sales have taken place.
The domestic sales of the Maruti Suzuki company were equally disastrous, witnessing a decline of over 46 percent at 79,080 units as against 147,613 vehicles sold during the same month last year. It also includes 2,104 vehicles (Baleno) that the company sells to Toyota. Exports witnessed a 55 per cent drop at 4,712 units as compared to 10,463 vehicles exported in March 2019.
